Question about SoulSilver sav files

I'm aware most J rom saves will work on their respective U versions, but i have a question about HGSS. Since you have to patch the game to get to work ( i used Magnius's translation patch), when the U game arrives, will my sav file from the J version work, even though it was from a patched game? Not to mention this is after probable anti-piracy patches. I'm still pretty early in the game, so if the sav files won't work, I'll just quit playing, but i'd like to know. Please and thank you.

 

The save file should work on the patched/unpatched versions just the same. U or J.

 

It should work, I guess for the same reason that the J rom saves work on the U roms as well. It's probably simple as changing the game's interface cause the same data is being processed
