Question about releases

I notice that games have a release id. Is this the release id for the game on this server or the release id of the order they are released for sale?

In other words, the release id is currently over 4000, could it be possible that a game could be put on this site with an id in the 3000s?

If so, could you please add "Added Date" to the Sort By please?

Finally, I did read some posts that DSi enhanced games will not be released here. My obvious question, and I hope I am not out of order for asking this, but is there a site which offers DSi enhanced games?

Thanks much. It is great to have a site like this. I can't express how much I appreciate all your hard work.

Release IDs are assigned to each game as it's scene released (ie dumped, pre'd, etc). You're unlikely to find release lists completely identical though, as some sites ignore nukes or independent dumps and such. ID numbers will roughly correspond to the order in which games were initially released to market, but that's neither here nor there.

DSi enhanced games can be found in the trading station here, I believe. Other sites may also have them, but Seph's professional courtesy jealousy prevents links to competing rom sites from being posted.

DSi Enhanced games cannot be properly dumped, and the DSi Exclusive features do not work as a result. We will not be hosting DSi Enhanced games until they are properly dumped and 100% functional. When this milestone is reached then we will reconsider hosting them.

Also, Seph had previously stated that the Date Added wouldn't be possible since that info doesn't exist with the releases.

By "Date Added", I meant date it was added to the site so that if a game was added with a lower number than the highest release id, then people would know about it. This will especially be useful if Seph decides to host DSi enhanced games and the release ids are lower.

I will take a look at the trading staion. Thanks.

Well yeah, if you wanna know the order in which roms are added to the site, then the release IDs will tell you. DSi roms have (or will have) their own numbering system.

I know what you meant by date added. But Seph said in a post in the suggestion forum that the date a rom is added to the site isn't recorded, so there is no reliable way to get the date added info.

And since people haven't actually answered your question.

There is only one way a game will be added without the latest release ID, this is if it's a PROPER of an older game or if we skipped it at the time of release for some reason.

The feeds or elements in your home (latest NDS etc) all display chronologically instead of by release id.
