In that thread TirithRR says ; Pokemon Platinum works just fine on no$gba 2.6a, which is the version linked to in the Common Issues thread.

I have been trying to get the pokemon games to work, I am using the no$gba 2.6a from the Common Issues thread. But when ever I get to the part where you pick your first pokemon my game just stops and will not move I need to reset the game cartridge from the File menu. I made it so it has no sound so it works faster, but nothing.

Also, how do you fix the sound with no$gba 2.6a?

I downloaded every rom from here.

It's because you have it set to no sound.
The game will freeze during your first pokemon battle if you disable sound.

Ok, Thanks, Ill try it with the sound on.

Is there anyway to fix the sound so it isn't all muffled and distorted?

Also, how do you make no$gba 2.6a keep your control settings?

Try changing the sound settings in the emulation setup.

    Sound Desired Sample Rate.

Sorry about the questions, But is there a volume control for no$gba? Or will I have to adjust my sound each time?

Also, how do you make no$gba 2.6a keep your control settings?

To save your settings, under Options choose "Save Options"

And no, you'll just have to change the volume on your speakers.

Quick question, Can I ever turn off the sound? It seems like I can't, whenever I do the game locks up again

I think it depends on the game.
For Platinum? No, I don't think you can.

You can turn "off" the sound of Pokemon Platinum but with the use of the no$zoomer addon.
-It doesn't disable the sound but it sets the volume to zero.
