Is it possible for two people to battle in Pokemon B/W using wireless if both people are using rom carts? Or do we really have to connect to the internet?
Really? I thought it used IR built in the actual carts instead of DS Wi-Fi for local battles. Why do they call it IR then?
You can use either. Actually, isn't it the same old local wireless system we're all familiar with? The Union Room? Only now it conveniently places action tabs on the lower screen which you can tap to enable or disable seeking for talk/trade/battle etc. They even put back the silly Spin Trade from Platinum. And I personally don't ever recall the multiplayer sections being called IR at all. You can see the three modes of communications very clearly on your C-Gear at the lower screen: Online (blue), IR (red) and Wireless (gold).
