I am wondering if romulation tracks the games you download to your account. Like say you download Chrono Cross once (from romulation), but you end up deleting it somehow or your computer crashes, etc..., if you download it again from romulation will points be deducted from your account again or does romulation track the games you download? --Thanks
The reason for this is that points are directly related to size, and thus bandwidth. 1 point = 1mb. We don't really care about the game itself, we don't charge points based on how "cool" a game might be, but rather to keep the bandwidth down. So if you download a 60MB game and then delete it a week later and download it again, then that's still 120MB, even though it's the same game. We only have the 24 hour rule to be nice to people with unstable connections who might get corrupted files. (Note that resuming ALWAYS works though)
erm I mean is ther any way to gain 3 points because I am 3 points away from getting a game I want like I think is a good system but all I need is three yet I have to wait a whole day for 50,
Submit a Screenshot for a game and you can earn 15 points. https://www.romulation.org/introduction/#screenshots
This system is kinda good, not only for the site, but for the player himself, it's better not to mass download because then you would not play what you download, imagine having 100 games in one folder, or 1000 games? believe me I've tried it, and I barely played 2 games (mobile games, long ago that was), so basically, thanks Romulation for this genius system ...
it's quite nice, especially compared to other sites that use similar systems. DGemu is a good example. they give you something like 30 points a day and ALL of thier games cost points, not just those above a certian size. Impossible to download ds games, due to the large file size, without using a lending system, which gets complicated. Also note that the 30 points a day don't stack, they just reset each day. they do give you points for posting in the forums though, which is something romulation could make good use of, it may discourage people from using the comments seciton to ask for tech help, if they get points for asking in the forums Romulation rules, thanks guys
