Most games are able to go online with R4. I couldn't get one of those rock band games to get online with my R4 though. It used a third party network which is probably why. Also its best to get a wireless router for future uses. Just make sure it's compatible with the DS. I know mine isn't.(D-LINK 514)

    Hi,
I "upgraded" to a DSi from a Lite because of the network support for WPA/WPA2 in the DSi.
IMO WEP encryption just doesn't cut it these days.
Now, I can use the in-built browser fine with my network (WPA/WPA2 AES) but, DISMAY! all games still only use the "old" WEP encryption and will not support the new protocol on the DSi
When, if ever will Nintendo games offer the option of WPA/WPA2 in those consoles able to support it?

    C'mon Nintendo, keep up. :-\

nintendo are the stupidest company ever if the encryption support is dependant on the game. It should be handled at firmware level.

    I agree entirely.
Even the latest games do not offer the option to use the more advanced encryption available on the DSi.
In my view, this is an extremely short sighted attitude by Nintendo / games developers.

Huh? Don't you need additional network adaptor to play Nintendo WFC?
