I remember in FFVII and MGS1, when it asks you to switch to disc 2.. how should I go about doing that once I encounter it later?

    What emulators are you using?

If you have epsxe, just go to "switch iso/cd" options in the menu...

But it has to be consistant-if you use a virtual drive program it can't be done-use epsxe's own virtual drive "if you can" for quick switching...

Can't do "switch cd" on a virtual driver without manually switch the disc-which just can't happen...

    it's in topic title...

Also-I hope your using 1.7.0-it accepts more iso formats ie mdf/mds...

Actually you can, same as if you were using a real CD drive. You click change CD, then you swap the images in the virtual drive program, then you hit OK in ePSXe. Very similar to how you change a read CD.

I was thinking about metal gear solid-you have to change in game-no saving...

    THAT'S why I said that.

So unless you could change disc whislt having epsxe still running...but I never tried it-I have the real disc to do so...

I just thought it'd be different.

And what I said is towards virtual drivers-using epsxe it's self has no trouble in doing that of course.

for square games try epsxe 1.6 or 1.5.2

1.5.2 is much better for Square games than 1.6.0

For FF games, when it says to switch discs, I just unmount image 1 and mount image 2, or switch the discs physically, or use the switch option on the menu, clicking image 2's file.

There's really no science involved when switching discs.

    oh,
    sorry for not noticing that.

or you can reset the game, close it and then directly play the 2nd cd's.
