Question about 3DS Roms

    Okay so i really want to play Pokemon X & Y when they release, but i dont want to but a 3DS just for those games (They will be the only games i play on DS) wil there be a Rom where i can play it on my DSi XL and still trade online and battle online etc...?

    I'm sure it won't be possible to play 3DS games on DSi, because of the differences in the hardware/software between 3DS and older systems.

    There's only 1 device at the moment that is able to play 3DS ROMs, the Gateway 3DS. It can only be used on 3DS/3DS XL and will be available for $80/€65 at the end of June.

    what you're asking for is impossible. You need a 3ds.

    You do realize you just responded to a 1 year old thread. ::)
    And yes, need 3DS or 2DS since there's no emulator, and DSi don't play 3DS roms.

    I'm assuming he's replying to the first post, i.e can I play it on my DSi no I dont think you can.

    Maybe, he ain't clear. That's why I ask in hope he elaborates.
    An ambiguous reply like that causes multiple interpretation.

    Its quite cheap actually now and besides the awesome graphics iin pokemon i didn't like it. It was way too easy. I past it in 3 days. There is no need to train extensively to beat gym leader as you did previously.
