Quassel IRC help?

I use Linux, so mIRC won't run. I have to use Quassel IRC, and I can't figure out how to connect to the RomU IRC channel. It's too complicated to figure out on my own.

Why don't you use mibbit ?

 

Use Xchat. It's a lot easier.

 

Because for me, that's harder to figure out than Quassel.

UPDATE: Tried, just have a problem. Imperium's not in the list, how do I add it and make it work?

 

How is Mibbit more complicated?

From the drop down menu you select Imperium.
For the box marked for your nick name, delete whatever is in there and put your desired name.
In the last empty box in that group, but #romulation
Then you connect.

Simple as can be. With downloadable IRC clients, you actually need to configure settings and all that. Basically, if mibbit is too "complicated" for you, you have no business even trying to work with actual IRC clients.

 

You click on add
The url server list thing you delete and replace with irc.imperium.ca
Then on the list you can put your nick, password, blabla
Ignore server password
On join command have /join #RomUlation
Save and then connect, voila
