Yeah I just got a copy (it's offical btw) and while my computer can play it by looking at the specs, it refuses to run, after that long install process, the latest flash player is in (version 10 I think) and I put both the cd and short cut executable into compatibility mode (windows 2000, before I tried xp) and all I've gotten out of it was

"can't find quake disc one please click ok and restart the program"

Disc one is already in there, I just removed 1 virtual drive (the other refuses to budge, but it might be removed by the time this is posted) and I'm really annoyed, the store staff said "oh just use compatibility mode should be fine) and now THIS!

Last time I trust them with pc games...

BTW, by copy I just got one, the real deal...

Sorry I annoyed you guys with all these questions of mine, but this time I looked around, I tried "run as administrator" and I'm pretty sure it's installed correctly...

Though I would re relucant to reinstall 4 disc again :(

HELP! (if there is no hope I need a quick answer so I can take this thing back, or see if I could anyways...)

vista is not recommended for running games on, for obvious reasons. I suggest you try a no-cd crack, (easier than editing the registry to point to the correct CD drive letter).
