I did all my research before I posted and I still can't figure out the problem. There are a few PSX games that I converted to the PSP where the sound effects work, but the music doesn't. I used PsGUI221beta and I'm running on 3.40OE-A. I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and how to fix it. I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with the .bin and .img files, but still I find no solution. Any help you guys can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Or the emulator is just lacking? Does it have native emulation support? If the music works before the conversion then it's not a bad rip.

It's the official Sony PSX emulator. My computer is too slow to run the emulator to test it out. :-( It wouldn't make sense though. The sound effects work fine. Just the music. Anyone care to test Twisted Metal 2 and/or Tekken? You can find them here at Romulation.

too slow? I've used ePSXe on a 400Mhz K6 and it was acceptable. give it a try anyway ;)

I just need to see if the music works other than the intro and title screens. Possibly a compression issue?

I'm not joking when I say, he would have to have Windows 3.1 not to run ePSXe!

What the hell is he typing from now? A rock?

I tested both roms out with ePSXe. Twisted Metal 2 and Tekken. The music in-game doesn't play. I've downloaded other copies to test and still, no music. Both with ePSXe and the PSP conversion. :-( Looks like I'll have to settle without music.

You do have to change the sound plugin on ePSXe you know...

To which one? I use pete's plugin. The sound effects work, but the music doesn't. The same thing when I convert it to the PSP format. Sound effects/no music.
