I have an SCPH-9001 (big boxy grey PS1).
I was trying to play a Tekken 3 (its legal, i have the PS1 disc.. just not with me ATM) copy and was using a Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX playstation disc to use as the surrogate...
Watched a few movies on youtube bout how to do it with different games.. but they all seemed to be on PSones'...
I was wondering does the swap trick work on the 9001 of PS1s when using 2 different games?
I tried for a few hours to get it to work and it seemed I was doing it right but it never loaded Tekken... =/ (lame sauce on pasta!)

It might work, but you could always try the Code Breaker disc. That's what it's for anyways.

yeah true. I just didnt want to have to shell out for them when i could do it all by myself.

Can your PS2 run homebrew? I have the same model and there's a way to swap the games in without having to touch them while they're spinning using ulaunchelf.

oh, sorry, I though you meant SPCH-90001 (PS2).

Yes, it works. Swap faster or buy a PSXchange, kid.
