psx? PLEASE EXPLAIN..

    hi, help please...i'm just a mum trying to learn all this IT lingo stuff...Is PSX iso's for PS2 GAMES? I have downloaded them from another site to burn to disc for my boys to play on the PS2 and wondered if this is the same...Thanks for helping a dumb mum out ;)

    They're for the original Playstation, but they should play on a chipped Playstation 2 if the chip supports the PSX emulation.
