hi all. i've just tried to do my first PSX to PSP conversion, but no luck. i ripped my copy of Twisted Metal 2 with Alcohol 120%, converted it to ISO with MagicISO (Alcohol wouldn't make an ISO directly), then used Simple PopStation GUI 2 beta to make the eboot. copied the eboot and keys.bin to PSP-Game-Twisted Metal 2 directory. booted my PSP, the icons i made came up, but when i ran the game, i just got a black screen :(

any ideas what might have gone wrong? oh i'm running 3.10 OE A2...

any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Converting PSX Games To Play On The PSP By BiZzY

Ripping The Game To Your PC
    Download CloneCD: http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html

Install It To Wherever You Want
    Run It
    Click Read To Image File
Chose The Drive Your PS1 Disc Is In
    Highlight Game CD
Chose Where You Want The Image To Go
(It Should Start Ripping It Now)
Once Its Done You Should Have 3 Imges, IMAGE.ccd, IMAGE.img (This One You Want) And IMAGE.sub

Converting The Image File To Play On Your PSP
    Download Simple Popstation: http://dl.qj.net/Simple-Popstation-GUI-v2.21-Beta-EBOOT-Tools-Utilities-PSP-Tools-Utilities-%28on-PC%29/pg/12/fid/12220/catid/192

    Run It
Open The Image File You Just Ripped (IMAGE.img)
(It Should Come Up With The Name Of Your Game In The Box Below)
If You Want To Customize The EBOOT You Can Below, Or Just Leave It
    Click Go
    (It Should Convert It)
Put The EBOOT And KEYS.Bin In ms0/PSP/Game/<Your Game Name>
It Should Let You Play It

    Using Popsloader For 3.10 OE-A
If You Are Still Having Trouble Download Popsloader: http://rapidshare.com/files/16078013/POPSLoader_FULL_By_HyT.rar.html

This Is A Plugin Which Lets You Chose Which Version Of Popstation (The PS1 Emulator) To Use, From 3.00 To 3.11
    Extract It
Copy The Popsloader Folder, Popsloader.prx And Pops.txt To ms0/Seplugins
(If You Dont Have An Seplugins Folder, Create It)
    Turn The PSP Off
    Hold The Right Shoulder Button
    Turn The PSP On
(This Will Bring You Into The Recovery Mode)
    Go To Plugins
    Enable Popsloader.prx
    Exit Recovery Mode
Chose Your PS1 Game And Hit X
Immediately Hold The Right Shoulder Button
(The Screen Should Come Up Asking Which Version Of Popsloader To Use)
Have A Play With It And See Which One Works Best

Any Problems, Ask Me, Good Luck ;D

GC please edit your post to make it more clear. something like:

    1. do this
    2. now do this

would be easier to read. Currently it lacks any form of structure and is very hard to read. Putting line breaks in would be an excellent start ;)

Thank you very much for the help, G.C. the other tutorials I read said nothing about needing a plugin. I'll try this when I get home and let you know how it worked!

it worked! thanks again for the tips. i think it messed up when i changed the image to an iso, for some reason i had it in my head that popstation only accepted isos. unfortunately, the game isn't all that i remember it being 10 years ago, but now i know how to get them working...
