[PSX] Misadventures of Tron Bonne (U) problems

I've been sitting on this one for about a week or two, simply because I wasn't incredibly worried about playing it when I haven't finished Megaman Legends 1 or 2, again, yet. However, I thought I'd at least try to get up to a save point...

Here's the stats:
AMD Athlon 64-bit X2 Dual Core 1.80 Ghz
2 GB of ram
ATI Radeon X1200
(Or, in other words, I'm playing off of a Toshiba Satellite A215)
ePSXe 1.7.0
Pete's D3D Driver 1.77 (which works much better for me than the OpenGL driver)
ePSXe SPU core 1.7.0 (I've noticed a few stuttering and badly sync'ed areas, but I don't know if changing drivers would make a difference)

Each cut scene that occurs during the T Bonne intro plays for a few seconds before completely stopping, unless I press start to skip it. At least, it did do that until I actually got up to the ruins, where my screen (just the one for ePSXe) turned completely black, with no sound or response to my button mashing. Is it possible the image (I snagged it from here) is corrupted?

 

Also, you should choose a better Audio plugin, such as Eternal SPU. Default ePSXe plugins generally suck.

 

Good point, but it still shouldn't freeze in the middle of T Bonne's intro. I'll try messing about with the graphics plugin to see if that helps any, but otherwise my current setup has been working just fine with the images I have.

And yes, Anandjones, I'll give Eternal's SPU a shot, just to see if it makes any difference.

 

i downloaded this game once too. It freezes when i press "start" during the game or when i go to a next scene..

 

Yes a better sound plugin should give better sound.
