    Hi again,

I've been downloading PSX ISO's and found that some games are in IMG (CloneCD) files but the majority PSX ISO's are in BIN/CUE.

    Question:

Are there any advantages in having PSX games in IMG (ClonCD) vs BIN/CUE.

I'm generally using the files to run on ePSXe, I've done some research and found some people have problems burning PSX IMG (CloneCD) files but no one has mentioned which is generally better for emulation.

For the most part, it doesn't really matter.

Depending on your Emulator and Version though, there may be compatibility problems, unsupported file types, etc.

Personally, I convert all of my psx images to ISO format, simply for consistency's sake. I haven't noticed any changes in compatibility between the formats though. All I can say is that I have over 200 psx isos that I use with ePSXe and I haven't had any compatibility issues yet.

It generally doesn't matter about the image type. As long as whatever you're using can read that type.

    Great!

I just wanted to convert all the PSX IMG (CloneCD) images into BIN/CUE; well, for consistency.

I'm running all this on my new Aspire One, runs perfect but without plugins and/or video enhancements... :(

Thanks for heads up everyone! :)
