for some odd reason it doesn't pass the Koei logo screen. It plays the Koei logo just fine, then hangs at a black screen. Any suggestions? I use epsxe. thanks.

It works here, what version of ePSXe are you using, and what graphics plugin?

Ver. 1.6.0 and using Pete's D3D plugin. It works with Bushido Blade and Resident Evil. Not sure why it won't work with Dynasty Warriors.

they don't all work with all games I'm afraid; hence the demand for programs such as ePSXecutor and Delta, which store configurations for different games, allowing you to double-click the game name in the list, and it runs ePSXe (Delta works with other PSX emus too) with the correct plugins and config.

If you havent already, download 'Aldo's Plugin Pack' from http://www.emuxhaven.net/pluginpsx.shtml (its at the very bottom of the video plugins list) and install into your ePSXe plugins folder.

You may have to try several different GPU plugins before you find one that works, but as a pointer I was using 'Darkmans D3D Driver (optimised) 0.9'

How fast is your comp exactly?

Ive run FF VIII on a K6-2 (400Mhz) with 128MB RAM and a 4MB GFX card, and it was barely playable, so it should work. What graphics card do you have?

    391,728 KB of RAM
    Intel(R) 82810-DC100 Graphics Controller
    400 Mhz

I've even updated my graphics driver. Still nothing. Well, I'll probably get a comp for Christmas so I'll have to wait then. I also tried to play it on the new PS1-P emu for the PSP, but it just hung at a black screen. One more thing. Do I need all 4 files to play the iso or just the iso image?

There is your problem. Intel graphics chipsets are about as crap as you can get. They lack features that even old graphics cards have. Try using Kazzuya or Duddie's soft GPU plugins, they might work but they will be very slow.

Yes, you do. If you are trying to burn to a CD then you MUST use cloneCD, it is the only program that can burn this format properly. Otherwise most emulators natively open this format.

WRONG WRONG WRONG, Fireburner can burn it too, Fireburner can burn almost everything properly.

i reckon fireburner is a way way way way better program than clone CD. i could only burn a few games with clone cd but with fireburner, i think you could burn any image to a disc.
