I have been trying to get FF8 to work forever now and just did.

Now it frezzes during the SEEd Dance Cut sene.

I have found a file online (PSV I think) and it is a save right after the dance. Is there any way for me to get the faile to work on my PSP?

DEdited. wrong file its PSV not PMV

What firmware version do you have? And are you using popsloader? If so, what pops are you using?

"pops" is the name given to the official playstation emulator on the PSP.

As the Official Firmwares came out, updated versions of "pops" were released. Some versions of pops play some games better than others.

Popsloader is a plugin for CFW that allows you to load multiple versions of pops and then choose which one you want to load a specific game with. This lets you choose the most compatible version of pops for your game.

    Here is a poploader guide:

Here is a PSX compatibility list (tells you what version of pops is the best for what games):

While you are at it, you might look into upgrading to CFW 5.00 m33-6.

    Ill look into pops.

Tirith. I hear 5.00 M33-6 it\s really bad and does not even start the game.

That's where popsloader helps. You can load using any firmware pops you want, like 3.80, and play PSX games just fine, but still use all the PSP benefits of the latest CFW.

So... I have massed around with my PSP with no lock. same spot no matter what I do. and the PSX compatibility list Tirith gave me says its because of a band copy of the game. So I am torrenting a new one (one that clams to me error free) so lets hope!
