Bear with me:I bought a psp slim on a site here on my country and they didn't specify what model it was but for simplicity sake let says it can be hacked/modded ,after being moded can it play UMD's normally without having to go trough programs and what not? Also is there a site you can indicate me on the whole psp hacking/moding scene?
Yes, you can. The only downside is you need to dump and patch it, if the game require higher firmware, but by using Prometheus, the game should be playable without patching. There are tons of it, but most noticeably, and up-to-date are Psp-Hack, PSH, and QJ.net.
yeah, as meganova said, yes, you will be able to use UMDs. knowing your psp is simple too. if it is a psp 2000, then the playstation logo will be on top of the d-pad. if it is a psp 3000, the playstation logo is at the home button. you can also check the last 4 numbers on the serial your psp has and that tells you what model it is.
