A quick one, I can't find the question answered anywhere else. :)

I'm a noob when it comes to PSP hacking and my buddy lent me his PSP. I got the hang of the basics like playing around with save files and loading up ISOs and CSOs. Question at hand is:

If I leave bigger space vacant, will load times in games shorten significantly?

I've been playing UFC Undisputed 2010, and the load times are killing me. Right now, I have 150 +/- MB of space free on the 4GB stick, and I can BARELY wait out the load times. If I say, delete a few games and leave out some memory free, will this speed up the eternity of load times im suffering?

Any tips on reducing the load times?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

version3 Is actually KappaMikey in the internet

The load times of PSP games depend more on the compression of the ISO/CSO than the free space of the MC. Games that are compressed more tend to load slower than those that are uncompressed (clean ISOs).

I suggest using programs like UMDGen to uncompress CSO files so you can get larger ISO files, but with much more shorter load times.

That, or you can overclock your XMB/Game to 333mhz. Shit will drain your battery quickly, but it would give you much shorter load times.

Oooooh. Okay okay. Dammit. That's some technical ish you just said there.

Okay, anyways, here's what's next. Would you know if the CSO version ie. compressed and tampered version of UFC Undisputed 2010 is able or unable to use the INSTALL GAME function? The game says it could lessen load times. But whenever I press the option to go, it won't.

That's only for if you're using a UMD. If you don't care for battery life, when on the PSP menu, press select. After that, change both of the processor speed settings to 333MHZ. That will make it load a TON faster, but drain a full battery in like 30min.
