I recently located a 2001 model PSP a local guy is wanting to trade off, He claims the wall charger was lost by his son but the unit works :-\, no clue if or how he is keeping a charge to it, but I have a wall charger from my old 1001 model I am assuming it will work for the 2001 so am I right?

The guy is asking for a cell phones (go figure) and I may have one he might be interested in to use for trade, but I want to take my wall charger with me and test the unit before I trade, IF I don't talk myself out of it before hand.

The PSP Phat (1000) and PSP Slim (2000) chargers are the same. My brother has a Slim and I have a Phat, and I used his charger to charge mine when I misplaced my charger (I found it a couple days later).

It's safe to use, and will not hurt your PSP.

Thanks TirithRR I thought it would work but I only have a 1000 and I have not messed with a 2000 model. Trade fell through after all, but at least I got the info just incase another one comes up. ;D
