    See that white scrolling line?
    Near the battery icon?

This is what's caused the last few errors-and the realisation of a few others which I'm attempting to fix.

I got this from connecting to an unprotected wireless accesspoint that belonged to a friend...however he claimed he had some scanner/virus linked to it INCASE someone tried to leech him.

If my poor memory is correct I think I went it BEFORE he turned it off (I was at the "configuring ip adress" part when he told me to "WAIT!" as he turned off the virus part-but left the scanner).

Well, whatever it was, no viruses are detected on the memory stick...but that whit eline, while it would go away when the memory stick was changed/removed, eventually the line would come back (I made a dumb mistake of re-loading a dump of the psp's...um user data I think-it had my name and psn data retained...and the scrolling thing :( ).

So here is what I'm asking.

    -WTF is this thing?
-Was reformatting the memory stick AND the psp a good idea?
-Would this be a custom set up as he claims-or is this a simple but scary code?

The psp seems fine now...reverted to a freash 5.50GEN D-3

...And yes the line would come up during gameplay, or sometimes screw with the games as if a big glitch was occuring-hence why I bothered trying to remove it.

UPDATE-IT'S STILL ON MY PSP AFTER A REFORMATTED MEMORY STICK AND A PSP RE-FORMAT!

    ...my poor psp :(

It seems to be a plugin that gives a battery warning.

...Looks like I solved it :)

    STUPID BATTERY WARNING PLUGIN!

(Even when disabled it affects the system-it's not perfected yet)

Lesson learnt-never use it until it's perfected!

There is a newer version released today that works with CXMB and uses less memory.

Scrolling bar appears less in the XMB, but still appears in games of higher graphics.
