Hello people, i recently formatted my PSP because there was a virus on the memory stick. After i disinfected etc and backed up all the files i had i moved them back over. I've got Two GTA games on my PSP. Both of which SEVERELY LAG LIKE HELL, its 10x worse than a .cso with a massive game like GTA. Can anybody suggest what i could do to fix this? I've reformatted but it changes nothing. It just seems to be the PSP games because ive got GBA games which im currently playing through and i've as of yet had no problems with them except a few glitches which were there beforehand. Cheers

What brand card are you using? and is it magic gate? A few people that I know had problems playing larger PSP games off 3rd party or older sony memory cards. A PSP iso needs a fairly good read/write speed and a fairly good card to play well. Its likely to be an issue with the memory card, or it possibly could be an issue with corrupted ISOs, you may want to try playing a few other PSP games to find out if its an issue with your card or the game (GoW would be a good test iso). Also GBA games require a lot less resources to play, so even if they run fine it still may be the card.

You also may want to check the M33 menu of your custom firmware (I think its select that you press at the main menu) and check the clock speed, you may have accidentally set your PSP to run at a slower speed.
