  1. okay, so the psp isos are finally there, but what do we do with them once downloaded, do we need a specific firmware? Or will it work no matter what? Where do we put it? In the GAME folder? some feedback plz

None of the RomUlation admins are experts on PSP downloads, we just provide the files. We'll have to rely on our community for this one.

Yes u have to have a specific firmware for psp isos to work and in getting the right firmware you will create a folder called ISOS, ITS VERY COMPLICATED

    Its actually very simple o.o

First you have to have a version 3.03 psp or lower(No higher because there are no downgraders for those version yet) and make sure what kind of motherboard your psp has http://www.pspmod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9250

then follow one of these guides to downgrade them http://www.pspmod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8718

after that follow this guide to upgrade it to vers 3.40 OE-A http://www.pspmod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17548

Finnaly just put your psp Iso or Cso in the ISO folder (if you dont have one make one in the root of the memory stick

    thats all o.o

oh and I too am not responsible if you brick your psp so be careful =P

Hey wraith, what version of your psp are you using....usually not all hombrew versions dont allow you to play this games...unless they are used by a hombrew of 3.00 and above.......now unless your runing it from a sony version using a emulator then its not gonna work., in other words what are the specs of your psp's software and what are you using to run the cso from your psp, since im the one that provided the game Ratchet and clank to romulation......

im not an expert in the psp stuff but i will be soon once i get my psp. From the Research ive done the best firmwares for homebrew would either be 1.5 or 2.81 and also compressing the iso to a cso will save you quite a bit of space.

Nooo! There's a custom firmware out by Dark Alex or something, that's the best one for homebrew. :)

are you using custom firmware? if not, downgrade it to fw1.5 then upgrade to fw 3.40 oe-a custom firmware by dark alex.
after installation put your iso to iso folde in your memory sitck. shut down your psp, hold r button while turning on your psp. you will now go to recovery mode.. change your cpu speed to 333.. your done. sorry if i can't explain to you step by step coz its a long process... just research on it or go to this website (--edited--) registration is required... ;D

Of course they're there, not we have very many at the moment; we're watching Sony's actions with much anticipation at the moment. Better safe than sorry.

Most new custom firmwares [M33's for best results] can run them right on the xmb, provided that you put the iso's or cso's in the right file. Make a folder called "ISO" right in the root folder and put the iso's in that folder. Then you might have to start it into recovery mode to either enable or disable the 'UMD Needed in drive" option to allow for better stability. Each iso is different and not require a UMD in the drive to work properly but usually having the option enabled seems to work best.
