...so what is the custom firmware exactly, is it 5.50 GEN something?

If it's just 5.50 then you can't even play.

To play downloaded games on a hacked psp (which...hard to tell from your description) you put them into a folder called "ISO" in the root of the memory stick, or the begining (what you see when you open it up on your psp).

If it's in a folder and a file called an "eboot" is there insert that into PSP>GAME

Please check the firmware, if it just say's 5.50 I think something ain't right for you.

Upgrade to 5.50 GEN D2, I believe you don't need to patch the games for that one.

I upgraded my brother's psp and he is playing the new Naruto game without any problems.

    Download the game.
    Extract the game.
Put the ISO or CSO file into the ISO folder on your memory card.

    Son of a female dog-wut?
    (Or were you crying *sob*...)

You need to be specific, if we ask you just check system settings and go "yep it's 5.50 GEN D-2" or something, a firmware is not an "app" as its more closer to an Operating system like vista or windows 7...

I'm just saying incase another user comes by and ask the same thing-always be specific in what you have to avoid confusion from users attempting to help.

    1) Download a game (I go to mininova to download all my PSP games)

    2) After you dowload a game you should have either an ISO or a CSO file

    3) If its a .rar file then extract the ISO or CSO it using Winrar or 7zip

    4) Connect your PSP to the computer with a USB cord

    5) Open your PSP on the computer and in there sould be a folder called ISO

    6) Coppy the game you just downloaded into the ISO folder

    7) Disconnect your PSP from the computer and play....

    Of course-it's just a folder...

    www.pspisoz.com

It's a partner site of romUlation, and while the links are mega upload, they are safer than torrents :)

i went to pspisoz.com and in one game there was alot of downloads. do i have to download all of that just to get one game?

Depends on the game and it's size.

    If it's a large game..say...

    Little big planet-1GB at least.

You have to download all the parts, and extract the first one with the second in same place.

Other wise you'd have to pay megaupload just to download it :(

This is why I use torrents for PSP games.... And other big files....

i dont get it are torrents different than rar files

  18. Renji217

Rar files are commpresed files (in this case games)....Torrent are a peer-to-peer file sharing protocol which means its another way of downloading stuff...
to download games from pspisoz you usualy have to dowload multiple files (ie. part 1, part 2, part 3, etc....) which I dont like but when you download stuff from torrents you get the whole thing in one go....

    OMG that is so helpful

step 1. you must have a game with extension .iso or .cso (example. CallofdutyExtreme.iso)
step 2. plug your psp via usb to your computer
step 3. wait for your computer to read your psp mem stick (atleast have enough space)
step 4. browse your psp and look for a "ISO" folder
step 5. (see step 1.) copy that game to the "ISO" folder
step 6. close your psp usb by pressing "x" or "o" then go to games
step 7. boom play your iso....

if you dont have any games at ol. you have to download like what you had seen with part1 part2 part3 it was divided like that because they r using free hosting only with a maximum 200mb per upload so that's why its chop into parts.... example if a game has 1.2gb this game has 6 parts to download. but if you want just i whole game just go to torrents but you have to know the game first because torrents dont show more description unlike in pspisoz etc.
