ok so here's the story. I recently lost my PSP but found it after it dropped out of my wet pants. before this however, I was wearing these pants(which was dry at that time and where my PSP was but I didn't know it then) then got my turtle and brought him out in my backyard so he could bask. just about 5 minutes, my younger siblings come running at me with a hose and spray me down. this became a water fight (involved water guns). after the fight, I went back into my room and went to fold up my pants when I saw my PSP roll out of it. the PSP was soaked in water and I really wanted to play it again but it was just too soaked. I'm too scared to turn it on because it might explode and then my house might catch on fire. what do I do?

One point why I love being the only kid at home.

Also, I should go to a shop and let them check it.

    It's a high change it's wet inside.

like you said, don't turn it on but go to a shop.

It's not gonna splode silly. :)

It's gonna fry the circuit board if you turn it on. Take the battery out and if you can disassemble it so that it can dry and hopefully it's not gonna die... :(

Or do what my teacher did when our class computer got rained on (stupid windows were leaky and she put the computer right next to one...)

If you can't pull it apart, dry off what you can without using a screw driver, and leave it alone for a month.

Put it in front of your fan for like a week if not more.

take the battery out and let the PSP and battery dry out for a few days in a warm place (like an airing cupboard). don't heat the battery.

Not the PSP, but the battery will into a shower of skin-burning acid!

Not outdoors or in heat...it might be worse.

Romm temperature, not inside a cupboard, just on top of a table where windows are, but not so the light is on it constantly, and I say a month to be sure.

    ...that too...

I would use a hair dryer, about a foot away. Its only a major problem if it was salt water or was submerged in water.

Also check on e-Bay for a waterproof casing for future reference LOL

Put it inside a rice bag? I heard rice absorbs the fluid...

I like the fact your think it's gonna explode, but it's unlikely.
Best thing to do is open it up and dry it from there if you can.
If not, take it to a shop like curry's.

once i dropped my cell into the toilet when i was calling my mom she said to dry it and put it into a bag of rice and it works so yeah it might work just make sure you take out the battery to dry too

turned on my PSP just for the heck of it and it seems to be ok. I went to open up some music and then suddenly some parts of the one winged angel start crackling up. it sounds a little soomething like this, EEEEREEEEEKIIEEEEEEREEEEEEKEEEELK.
