I know ppl say psp go sux and all but there ARE stuff improved. -The games r cheaper in the PS shop than the UMD -Smaller so u can smuggle it into movies =D -Shiny -It looks awesome! -Bluetooth -Don't know bout u guys but i think the sliding screen is SEXY. -smaller screen is cool to me I dont like ppl judging a console like that. It takes alot of effort to transform the PSP into that size.
Mainly people hate the PSP Go because it has no UMD support and the PSN game library is terrible. I don't want to pay full price for a game that is years old. But hey, it's your choice to waste your money.
Let's reply... 1.Not that much cheaper, second hand shops with UMD's are still cheaper 2.If your watching it in a movie then there is something seriously wrong with you. And you need more than shorts buddy, mine fits fine, but I prefer a case...and a backpack for added protection. 3.Shiny... Who really gives a damn-I'm glad the ps3 slim and dsi aren't shiny, finger prints...and the fact that when damaged it'll look like utter crap. That and the older models are, infact, still shiny when looked after, unlike most noobs. 4.Reminds me of a gba, so I...sorta agree, but the smaller screen shits me. 5.Wow, what are you gonna do, hack it so you can use a blue tooth keyboard or something? Look dude, I dislike them because of the downloads, not everyone has unlimited download powers, with my limited net and gaming needs I'd run out of data for the games I'd like. Plus the smaller screen really annoys me...and the stick...is WORSE than the current psp, and I already hate the stick as it was! Finally, for pirates, there is no hack job that really works yet, thus expect to pay alot of money to keep yourself entertained.
I like the look of it, but that's it. I've already ranted on my dislikes elsewhere not worth the effort repeating myself. Only way I would have one is if it was given to me for free, even then I would take it and trade it in towards something else.
I would only take it for free yes, but I would probably keep it for future hacking curiosity. Or if I was wanting something, I'd get rid of it.
who gives a damn about the smaller screen? Not me. How old r u? 7? No wonder the joystick annoys u coz ur fingers r short Post Merge: [time]1276312836[/time] Whats so wrong with the library? C'mon speak up And hacking a PSP is wrong. Like their a very successful company, then some poor idiot comes along and gets games for free. Sony's Lost millions of dollars coz of the psp3000 and hacking
He's not 7. And I wouldn't treat people like that on here if you want respect back as well. The smaller screen is quite a degradation from the first 3 PSPs...
I've seen his picture and I know for a fact that a 7 year old child can't provide an argument like he did. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. I hear arguments and excuses from them all the time. They can't do anything like that. And I know plenty of people with kids too. So, don't worry. I know how old he is. I do wish it was fully hackable...
I own a PSP, and my co-workers have PSP Gos. After seeing how my co-workers are getting it up the ass with the games they have to RE-BUY (as they had original PSPs with UMDs) I have to say, I'm GLAD I didn't get a PSP Go at all. I also want to make a remark that the OP in this topic is an idiot. Even though that is a given. The cons FAR OUTWEIGH the pros with the PSP Go. Bluetooth? Who gives a flying fuck about that shit?!? It's a portable gaming device, not some fucking communications device! What about the lack of UMD Drive and the inability to upgrade your battery to the one with much larger capacity? My PSP 2000 has both of those bases covered, and thus, not only can it play UMD games, but it also has DOUBLE the battery life compared to the PSP Go, thanks to the kickass 2200 mAH battery. Bullshit! My co-workers confirmed with me about the price of games being sold over on PSN. The games sell about as much as the retail price in stores! Monster Hunter Freedom Unite? That game is sold for $29.99 on PSN, but the UMD game is being sold for $19.99 over at Fry's Electronics. PSP Go games being cheaper, MY ASS! So what? I've smuggled things bigger than my nuts into movies! If you can't smuggle things bigger than that shitty PSP Go, you fail hard at life. Big fucking whoop! My PSP has silver acrylic paint over the body and faceplate. It's just as fucking shiny as that PSP Go! Also, I have a Pidgey that's shiny, BITCH! No, I look AM awesome, and the PSP Go looks like shit. You left out the part where that sliding mechanism can FUCKING BREAK and leave your shit ruined. That's not what she said. And I don't like idiots like you talking down to other people like that. Especially with your white-knighting against hacking PSPs. Speaking of which, that's why I LOVE my PSP 2000. All the UMDs I bought can be simply loaded onto my memory stick, and I can carry around 14+ games with my 16 GB stick. Oh and did I mention the lack of the UMD drive, which renders your UMD games that you bought totally fucking useless?
Actually they are too long, my fingers, I'm no kid ya know. ...infact my hands scare alot of people...all bony and long... But I like bigger screens, sure the compressed screen may make the graphics look a tad better but...yuck. And once again, HYPR wins the argument! Why thanks ace, why when it does become hackable...I might get one. Mind you, I won't be using the stick.
And one of those idiots being you. May I say, Sony Fanboy? Hypnos isn't 7, whatever his age is, he's definitely more mature and smarter then you. And not everyone judges by just looks. I've held, played, and actually owned it for a while(friend's one), And I say, it's really bad compared to the other PSPs. For one, Certain people won't be able to use it, as they have enormous hands. Like me, I can barely hold on to it. PSP 1k, 2k, 3k was very form fitting, it was comfortable to hold, and the L and R buttons were actually usable. And, "Smuggle it into movies". If you're going to a movie, why the heck do you need to bring your PSP along? Unless you're talking about smuggling movies into it. But it's still broken english. Smaller screens are a plus for some, but some others hate it. I for one, am equal with it. I've put up with the DS's screens, I can handle a little smaller screens from the PSP Go. And bluetooth, one of the most dumb inclusions for the PSP go. It's internet speed is already dreadful, and using bluetooth on it is far far worse. EDIT: Short fingers don't matter when it comes to the joystick. It's just plain horrid compared to the PSP 2k or 3k. And what the heck are you talking about Sony losing millions of dollars due to the psp3000? UMAD?! The PSP 3000 had some of the best sales of any other PSP Model.
Request a lock, and you obviously don't know how to debate. Hypr know's what he's talking about. To be fair, the go COULD be useful if the screen size was the same as before, and in 5 years time when everyone has unlimited download power. Right now, it's useless to me, and my 20gb limit, i can go over it, but my net would be slowed and the cost goes up.
Gee, I don't know. How about if you bought the UMD game for your original PSP, and then you got the PSP Go, and you want to play that same game on the PSP Go? What do you have to do to play that particular game on the PSP Go? You have to buy it again. Does that make sense from the consumer perspective, or do I need give you a lecture on common sense? That's just one side of the argument. You're not looking at the full fucking picture. You left out people who do buy games legitimately, and then use a hacked firmware to load their games they bought onto their memory stick, so that way, they don't need to carry 20+ UMDs. Also, you fail to look at the fact that recent Sony firmware updates DO HINDER hackers from playing the latest games. Idiot! Fixed.
The game selection on the psn store is limited, some games on UMD aren't there. If the go is your first psp, the fair enough that your fine with what they offer. As for hackers...well since your here your TECHNICALLY ripping off another innocent company like nintendo, thus your just contradicted yourself. Plus there are some homebrew apps that are quite useful that require hacked firmware, so if you...say had a legit bought pc copy of doom 1, or 2. That can be made to run on a psp, you need the parts from the legit copy to make it work, as well as other useful apps like the ability to watch youtube on your psp. And it's the first psp (1000) that got robbed first, not the 3000, if anything that got it right with the 3000 with the anti piracy protection. What's worse, if people with hacked psp's wanted to buy or download say some add on content, they can't, hacked psp's are locked out, even when un-hacked.
I love it when Hypr gets involved. Sony lost millions of dollars on PSP3000 hacking...really!? Didn't factor in poor sales of the PSPgo or the shitty economy that lowered console/game sales that affected not only Sony, but Microsoft and Nintendo as well and yes a percentage can be blamed on piracy but that too is affecting all 3 not just 1.
A few things: - Hypr is awesome. - The OP is an ignorant ass. - The PSP Go blows. - This thread granted me with some wonderful lulz. Also, as already stated; if anything, the PSP 3000 has fixed the anti-piracy issue more then anything else. The only hacks available on it are temporary hacks that have to be rebooted every time. If I had a 3000, I don't think I would want to personally go through all of that work. The PSN game selection sucks nuts. The only thing the PSN is good for is DLC on the PS3. I don't personally see any more practical uses other then picking up a handful of good PSX games that might be available. So basically, PSP Go users get shafted and can only make purchases from the very limited PSP section of the PSN. Not to mention they get to pay full price for every game while even somebody who had an old unhacked 1000 series could pick up the game for far cheaper and enjoy the same content. Smaller isn't always better, take the GBA Micro for example. It didn't help that Nintendo released it at the end of the GBA cycle, but that thing was really hard to use for people with hands bigger then that of a small child. The size of the PSP, although not favorable, is necessary to make it the enjoyable console that it is. Plus, it fits the hands really well. I enjoy all the other PSP's over the Go. Either way, I don't even own a PSP. I've just used pretty much every model in existence at least once.
