Hey guys, just wondering, is there any way to play downloaded games on the Go? Like a modification of any sort?
Nothing yet, as far as I know. They have been able to run a "Hello World" exploit, but I haven't heard of anything else. Oh, and this: http://pspslimhacks.com/psp-go-6-10-cfw-hen-enabled-running-homebrew/ But I don't know how far that will get anyone.
Ah, I see, but what I don't get is why they don't want to release it to us(yet?) Well,I guess I'll just have to play the waiting game now,it is a new handheld.
Some of the people who spend time hacking and exploiting the systems seem to have a "code of honor" so to speak. They don't like Custom Firmware, and use the exploits just to run homebrew, not to promote piracy. These people don't release their exploits because they know the community will use them to develop CFW or CFWE and run illegal backups using their exploits. So, they show it can be done, and leave it at that. The community just has to wait and see if anyone else with less strict morals stumbles upon the same exploits.
You might be waiting a very long time. However, in my circle I have heard that any psp can be hacked...but not talking about an exploit-I'm talking about ripping apart the console and messing with the software it's self. I've yet to see anything, but these people who create this stuff tend to rely upon exploits... (Note that what I said is not for the every day rom downloader-programming and expert hacking skills I believe if this is to be believed...) Get a psp 1000/old 2000 and you might have better luck. But hay...if they can make a CFW for 3000 user's they will create something for the go, you can ethier wait or you could play it safe with an old model.
the reason we can only use the downloaded games are 1. thet don't want us to download free games 2. they can only have downloaded games not backups or full games. these are the reason on why I think why
