PSP For Beginners

    PSP For Beginners By BiZzY. *Outdated*

    Updating To Custom Firmware From 1.50 Or OE

    Download And Extract The Firmware Of Your Choice
    3.03 OE-C
    3.10 OE-A

    Make Sure You Have At Least 55MB Free On Your PSP
    Copy The Four Folders To ms0/PSP/Game
    If Your On OE Firmware Change Your Kernel To 1.50*
    *Hold The Right Shoulder Button When Turning The PSP On
    Go To Configuration > Game Folder Homebrew
    Make Sure Its 1.50 Kernel
    On The PSP Run 3.XX OE-A Update Maker
    This Will Create A File Called DATA.DXAR
    Move The DATA.DXAR From oeupdmaker To 3XXoeflasher
    Check Your Battery Is 75%+
    Run 3.XX OE-X Firmware Install
    Dont Interupt Whilst Its Updating!
    Restart The PSP Manually


    Converting PSX Games To Play On The PSP

    Ripping The Game To Your PC
    Download CloneCD

    Install It To Wherever You Want
    Run It
    Click Read To Image File
    Chose The Drive Your PS1 Disc Is In
    Highlight Game CD
    Chose Where You Want The Image To Go
    It Should Start Ripping It Now
    Once Its Done You Should Have 3 Imges, IMAGE.ccd, IMAGE.sub And IMAGE.img (This One You Want)

    Converting The Image File To Play On Your PSP
    Download Simple Popstation
    Run It
    Open The Image File You Just Ripped (IMAGE.img)
    It Should Come Up With The Name Of Your Game In The Box Below
    If You Want To Customize EBOOT.pbp You Can Below, Or Just Leave It
    Click Go
    It Should Convert It
    Put The EBOOT.pbp And KEYS.bin In ms0/PSP/Game/<Your Game Name>
    It Should Let You Play It

    Using Popsloader For 3.10 OE-A
    If You Are Still Having Trouble Download Popsloader*
    *This Version Of Popsloader Only Works On 3.10 OE-A
    This Is A Plugin Which Lets You Chose Which Version Of Popstation (The PS1 Emulator) To Use, From 3.00 To 3.11
    Extract It
    Copy The Popsloader Folder, Popsloader.prx And Pops.txt To ms0/Seplugins
    If You Dont Have An Seplugins Folder, Create It
    Turn The PSP Off
    Hold The Right Shoulder Button
    Turn The PSP On
    This Should Bring You Into The Recovery Mode
    Go To Plugins > Enable Popsloader.prx
    Exit Recovery Mode
    Chose Your PS1 Game And Hit X
    Immediately Hold The Right Shoulder Button
    The Screen Should Come Up Asking Which Version Of Popsloader To Use
    Have A Play With It And See Which One Works Best

    whoa this camein handy at the right time. I just sign up and boom the best advice for my psp since not upgrading to play homebrew. Much praise. ;)

    hi, brother. i have done all the steps that you show above, but i still can't play the game. althougn my software version is 3.10 but when i turn it on while holding the right shoulder button, it didn't bring me to the recovery mode. can you help me please. thanks.

    How do I turn my PSP on? How do I get the PSP out of the box? Can I play games on a PSP? Is it a gaming system? :) j/k Good tutorial.
