title says it all. is there anyway to prevent this from happening? it's annoying especially when i play burnout.
additional info: the analog always seems to point down even when i'm not touching it. it doesn't move, but it makes the game think it's going in the south direction.

I can only assume the stick is worn...

Wether the stick is moving on it's on or it's registering movment despite the stick being still stiff, it may need repair.

I´t happen to me like three times and i´t doesn´t matter how many times the shop fix it to me or even change it, it´just keeps broking over and over, ( btw that may be it, yours may be broke as well ) My psp started with that and a minute later, everything was unfunccional since all of it start malfunctioning and ended up trashing it ( like the junk it was ) and I promise never buy another psp on my whole life, at least ´till sony learns how to do a good portable videogame
