PSP 5.01 version, upgrade help needed

    I have a PSP that is running the 5.01 software.

    I have bought and charged my pandora battery and have an 8gb memory stick.

    I have downloaded 4.01 eboot and PSP Grader v006 - Lite setup, and several games.

    Now in what order do I continue to make this all work ????

    When I run the PSP Grader and put the 5 files onto my memory stick, and insert the memory stick and pandora battery...nothing happens...just the little green light comes on. What am I doing wrong ?

    Is this a PSP-1000 series? (phat) or is it a 2000? (slim)

    Slim, bought at last Xmas (2007) for my 7 year old son. Just got sick of paying £30 for each game!!!! It was only updated last month (November) when I realised it could connect to my wireless house system.

    It seems that everyone is getting me to re-load 4.01 (eboot - whatever that is!) using the PSP Grader. I have got so far and just hit a brick wall of what to do next...everyone keeps replying that it is easy just do this, this and this... but it doesn't seem to work for my PSP.

    ARGHHHhhhhh.....
