I am unsure whether to get a PSP 3000 or a PSP Go. Considering I won't hack, which would be better value? PSP Go Pros Built in Memory Smaller Added features Cons Doesn't support game disks/In some cases games are more expensive More expensive PSP 3000 Pros Cheaper Supports Game Disks Easier to Hack Bigger Screen Cons Larger No Built in memory/ Memory stick required
i would never buy a 3000 or go, but if i would have to make a choice, i would say 3000 cause it supports umds and i like to have a hard copy of my games either burned to a disc or the actual copy. though the games for the psp go would probably be cheaper because you don't have to pay for the plastic and all that jazz that a umd costs.
I'm buying psp go as christmas present for my self this christmas.., xD psp go: built in 16gb memory built in wi-fi.. doesn't support game disk..
The full digital portable, which will not replace the PSP 3000 or UMD, will be priced at $249/EU249 and will be made available on October 1st. The current core pack is priced at $169 for reference. The device is more than 50 per cent smaller and 40 per cent lighter than the original PSP, and will feature a stylish sliding screen, 16GB internal flash memory (expandable to an extra 16GB with Memory Stick Micro) and Bluetooth support. The company also announced Media Go, to make media management between the PSP and PCs much easier. SensMe will also be released, analysing your music to suggest new tracks you might enjoy. Moreover all PSP titles released will now be made available digitally as well as on UMD.
Sony are looking into lowering the cost of games on PSN. I don't know if its confirmed or not. Anyway, if you do want a PSP 3K or a PSP Go clearly not for hacking reason, i would go for a PSP Go. But if you want to hack a PSP i would get a PSP 3000 bundle that is semi-hackable. Check here for some known bundles http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=191043
If the games were cheaper I'd buy a go personally... But the downloads would kill my crappy net so a 3000 would be more ideal...oh how I hate my internet
I think the Go was a mistake. You can't use UMDs You can't flash it to play isos ( because the memory is built in) :'( You could buy a 360 and have money left for the price of the Go The screen is tiny And I generally don't like Sony. Microsoft own me 8)
The design for the PSP Go, is to be on the go. Its a hassle taking loads of UMD's on a long trip isnt it? ... Wut? Well Sony did a good job then. It can't be a reason why it fails, its a win on Sony's side. Why you posting on the Sony section then?
To make a point. LOL, don't take it so seriously dude....it's just some words on your PC screen....calm down.......
I don't see how I'm taking it seriously, I'm just replying to your posts (which by the way, you seem to avoid answering it back)
the games to download from the playstation store are quite often more expensive than buying them on UMD. For this reason I would buy the 3000.
- make it cheaper - make games cheaper... come on, download games should be cheaper than UMDs - touch-screen - make it easier to download games (make it faster!!) - two analog nubs - better placement of buttons, so I don't have to stretch my thumb to reach the analog nub... even if PSP's size has to increase a little
I got the PSP 3000 for Christmas to replace my old original PSP I like the 3000 better as it plays UMD discs and for one thing it's cheaper then a download. Some great PSP titles don't even make it on the Playstation Store so your then missing out on some great games that the PSP has to offer. A con to add to the PSP Go you can't replace the battery once that goes that's it unlike the PSP 3000 you can replace the battery but finding one is a bit of a problem.
It just depends on what you like best. If you like to go all digital and no hard-copies of your game then go for the PSP GO. In my case I prefer the PSP 3000 because you can always buy used games for a cheaper price. Also because you don't have to wait hours for a dumb game to download and you have hard-copies you can just pop right in and play. The PSP 3000 is wider in size but it's better to hold when playing games on it compared to the PSP Go which isn't all that great except for it's new looks and feel. About the memory stick problem; memory sticks have significantly dropped in price compared to a few years back. If you look around you can find a 4gb memory stick pro-duo for at least $20.00 and trust me when I say that $20.00 is one hell of a good price! Hopefully I helped you made your decision.
