is it possible to hack the psp 3000

 

Depends on firmware. If it's 5.03, it can be hacked. If it's higher, then not.

 

It'll only be a temp hack though.

 

If it is below 5.03 FW you can use a temporary hack which allows homebrew and ISO. If it is 6.20 and below you can use the Patapon Demo exploit to run homebrew but not ISO/CSO games.

coarse its been fixed thats why its the 5.03 hack not the 5.55 hack etc... because it only works up to 5.03

the 3000 can be CFW enabled you just need sum basic Electronics know-how.
you can actually build your own mod-chip to put 5.00 m33-6 on a PSP-3000 the only reason u usually cant is a few .PRX(from a decrypted 6.20 OFW) and the Rom Flash chips which you can get PSP-2002 Ram flash chips and resolder,if you know how its much easier that way

The only reason is that you can't flash a 3000 with CFW without extra hardware like you say.
That method costs money, and a lot of people don't have much in these times...
