Sorry If i posted this in the wrong place, but I need help geting this to work. The CFW 5.03 Gen-C is kind of like an R4 except it plays PSP games. Anyway, I updated my PSP and now I can't get it to start. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: Almost forgot to mention that whenever I try it, it says the game is corrupted.

So you updated your PSP to GEN-C successfully right? If not, I don't see what could have went wrong. Just run ChickHEN and then GEN-C... ANYWAYS, if you installed it right, make sure to have your GAME CPU clock set to max. Make sure the M33 driver is set for ISO use. Furthermore, you need to have game.txt in a folder called seplugins. To do all this, press select while in the XMB. Make sure the GAME CPU clock is on 333/166. Use left and right to select it. Also, select UMD ISO Mode driver as M33, using left and right again. Select shutdown device. Reboot the device holding R. Enable version.txt. Now, go into USB mode, by connecting the PSP to your computer, and selecting USB Mode in settings. Create a folder called 'seplugins' (minus the quotes) and insert a text file called 'game.txt'. (again minus the quotes) Try playing the game.
You have a PSP 3000, and were running 5.03-GEN C. When you say you updated your PSP, do you mean you updated the OFW? What OFW are you running now? You can't use 5.03 GEN-C if you are higher than 5.03 OFW. And if you updated your PSP higher than 5.50 then you are stuck with OFW on your PSP. There is no exploits for the PSP 3000 with OFW higher than 5.50.
I guess I misunderstood him... I thought he meant he updated to 5.03 GEN, not updated his OFW... Tirith is right. If you updated your OFW, it is impossible to run ChickHEN/MHUspeed to get 5.03 GEN running on it. And Tirith, how is it possible to run CFW on 5.50? I have no idea on how to do it.

I don't know the details, but I think there is a save file exploit that requires using an actual UMD.
Thnx for the info everyone. I went back to the guy who showed me how to install it and said I had updated too far and can't play copied games anymore. Anyone know another program that lets me play ISOs? (I have a PSP 3001) All i can play now is God of War since its the only REAL game I bought. *sighs... Can't downgrade a psp 3000 with a pandora because of the mother board's design. You'll have to wait until sony leaves opening for a new CFW-good luck waiting
Maybe modchips will fix the issue... I heard some underground rumors of a guy trying desperately to mod the PSP.
I think when the non-hackable 2000 came out, people swapped motherboards with the hackable version. It kinda worked, but the screen would not work (the lights did though, and when you used a Pandora Battery, the lights flashed correctly). You just couldn't see anything...
Swap the motherboard and the screen, might as well just buy a new PSP I think they did it not to find a solution but just to prove the motherboard was the culprit.

Your gonna be waiting awhile. Most likly, they will make a cfw that takses advantage of this..but it won't work on a 3000 (they still use the 5.03 exploit...why work on something known when they can improve what they already have )
The GEN team is not gonna release that for a while ya know. They need to release two separate kinds, a HEN/CFWE, and a CFW. HEN/CFWE is for partially hackable PSPs, and CFW is for fully hackable PSPs. That will take a while. They need to find an opening in the new OFW to release a HEN/CFWE exploit that works on the newer firmwares. I think the CFW will be finished much, much earlier than the HEN/CFWE.
