So I got a psp 1000. I'm planning on getting a pandora battery. Is there anything special that needs to be on the memory stick? I also don't have a memory stick so where would be the best place to buy from? Any info I need on hacking with a pandora battery?

Buy a memory stick at your local electronics store.
I recommend this program for making the files for your memory stick:

You don't need a Pandora as long as your firmware is below 5.03 or below.

If it is, upgrade to 5.03, then use a tutorial on how to hack it, in the Tutorial board of these forums. If not, you need to use a Pandora. Google XGEN Pandora, or Despartar del Cementario v8, or PSP Pandora Deluxe.

Do pandora batteries create magic memory sticks? Or do i have to find a pc program?

    Pc program.

However, in one of my links in my sig, there is a premade pack to the latest firmware.

    :)

(It's untested but it should work-let me know if you find it and download and I'd help you get it going)

And if you brick you psp 1000, no biggies.

You can just use the pandora battery to redo the install!! ;)

    WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I finally modded my PSP :)
For some reason, the game files only work when a UMD is in the PSP. Why is that?

Prehaps it's because it's set to read iso's when a UMD is inserted.

    WHat firmware are you on?

(Try holding R on start up, in the recovery mode go to settings, change the iso loader to m33 )

or you can just press select when your psp is done booting up and then go to UMD device and switch it to M33 driver....XD

I thought of that, but I couldn't remember what the default VSH menu looks like...I have the ultimate plugin enabled.

Plus when I got to GEN D (the first one) no vsh went up, I needed to enable that...annoying.

It has the M33 driver thing on there. My UVM crached, and no good dump works on my PSP anymore... :(

As soon as I updated to GEN-D2 it automatically enabled.

Maybe redoing the install will make it work?

    no problem!

you can also shut off your psp with the VSH Menu.

it saves the switch for turning it on only and times when your psp freezes.

Hmmm...i just downloaded a game and it is a "NTI iso" file.
    What is that?

...I hope your getting your games from here.

    www.pspisoz.com

Now, if the file name is "nti.iso" that's fine, but if you mean the files extension IS NTIiso then I wouldn't know...

I'd assume it would be the name of the game if the former.

So where in the hell did you get this file then?

(and is that what the file extension says-those pics just means what program's it's assosiated with from your pc's programs)
