Since a couple months ago, my waking moments have been filled with excitement brought on by the presentations of pre-release game footage about Fat Princess. I was one of the many enraged gamers when the expected launch date was pushed back from June to a vague "sometime this summer." Luckily, only a month later, here it is, available on the PlayStation Network for download. After engaging in my wide, radial victory dance, I earnestly purchased and downloaded the hotness that is "Fat Princess." Initially I wanted to jump right in. How convenient it was, because delving into the menu produced the button "Jump In." I pressed that button and waited for the game to connect....and waited....and waited. Long story short, I tried six times to join a damn game, but it never happened. Following that major disappointment, I thought "well, that's alright. This has a single player mode. I'll play that!" Oh how I played the crap out of the single player mode. Loving every moment, I got myself use to the controls, hats, and the rest of the game mechanics; however, just when I was at the peak of enjoyment, the single player was over. It probably took three hours to complete the entire thing. I wasn't very disappointed, but I wanted to play more! Luckily for me, I had friends playing the game online, so I tried connecting "through" them and it worked! I was playing online! Unlike others, I hardly experienced any lag at all. The game was extremely fun and I enjoyed every second of online play. Though, now that I'm more "Fat Princess" savvy, I am noticing some terrible glitches in the game, not the least of which is a disappearing princess. This is kind of a big deal since, well, you need to have both princesses to win the game. If one is missing then you must endure through the entirety of the alloted amount of time set for a game. I have no objections to playing for an hour or so in one game, but when the objective is no longer there, it gets very boring. Another notable glitch I've noticed is that sometimes the "Worker" hat machine simply stops producing hats. This is another extreme problem because, at the very least, a team cannot rebuild their gates, thereby allowing the enemy team free passage into the castle. Ultimately I love the game and I expect there to be at least one patch in the near future to fix these issues I've outlined. Please, share your thoughts about "Fat Princess" or maybe some experiences, stories, what have you.
After I read your thread I had a search on net, I found the game kinda similar to Mario. I loved the creativeness and logic in the game, it was surely fun. I'd like to try it out... You must be a new member I guess judging by your posts, you have kinda have knackful vocabulary and good potential to write reviews in future, just try to do once...
As far as I'm concerned, the best thing about Fat Princess is the feminazi reaction to it. It's not an MMO.
not arrcoding to the developer..... nah dont worry much on those stupid feminist, they just Peta for girl.... i bet those who upset are really obese themself, plus why complain now when the game is been covered months ago while it was still in development.
