I know a friend of mine bought a 60gig off ebay and it ended up not working and Sony was going to charge $150.00 flat rate since it was beyond warranty he got the seller to pay for the fee and sent it in and when it returned it still wasn't working so he sent it back and they finally sent one back that worked and hes been playing it since. Might be able to find it cheaper from a repair shop might be worth the hassle to call ahead of time before buying/bidding on those.
Oh I know these are damaged-and they did mention-just need to know the approx repair rate I should pay if I bothered to get one. Guess I'll wait until later-time for work!
