[ps3] Regions?

    I have heard that in the past, the games are region free ie japanese games work on an american/australian console.



    Is this still correct or have new firmwares blocked this?


    And can a ps1 disc work on a ps3 120GB (phat) model or is it emulation only?


    I may have more questions as I need.


    Oh here's another-in regards to the regions...the movies are region locked right?

    All PS3 models can play PSX games. PS2 depends on the model.

    I think its still region free (didn't really try it yet)

    as for PSX game you only can play originals with the same region as your PS3 (I only can play FF VII) which I hate :p
