I was wanting to get a fighting game for my PS3 at some point. I was thinking of maybe an arcadey type fighter like Street Fighter. Would the Street Fighter game be my best bet, or maybe wait for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3? Or might there be some title I haven't heard of? I've been out of the loop on console games for a while, so any advice would be great.
Im a preety basic fighter fan, mk vs dc isnt a bad game, and street fighter...is like street fighter, get ethier super street fighter 4 or wait for marvel vs capcom 3.
I also liked soul calibur 4 if you're into weapon based fighting... if not feel free to ignore me but it was the second game I ever got for my PS3 and I still actively play it 2.5 years later for hours at a time.
Super Street Fighter 4 - Fairly easy to play, and get into. Lots of people play it online. Blazblue Continuum Shift - Somewhat more complex than SSF4 in that the combos are longer and require more finesse in timing but amazingly fun game. Best online in a fighter, extremely stable for around the world play. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - Not out yet but its definitly going to be the fighting game of the year. Tekken 6 - If you like tekken then go for it. Online isnt that great. Soul Calibur 4 - If you like SC go for it, good game but not many get online with it anymore but should be able to find people. Theres a few you can download from playstation store as well that are good: Street Fighter 2 HD remix Tekken 5: DR (not worth it, $30 for an old arcade game with terrible online, price has not changed since PS3 launched) Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - if you cant wait for 3 and want to relive 2 its good. Afew others here and there. Cant go wrong with Blazblue and Super Street Fighter 4
