So I am planning on buying a PS2 Slim... I am troubled by something... Number one: This is a ROM forum. We don't mind here if you're burning stuff ya don't own. SECOND: I have a swap. And a SPCH-90001. My lens is pretty fine. Just be careful with PS2 CD games, they use extra lens power. IF my lens ever DOES burn out, I kept all of the isos, so I should be able to play most with OPL by that time. The thing that sux is, IF my swap disc gets scratched, the whole thing is over until I get a new one. But with a mod you don't have to worry about that much. I say, go ahead and get a PS2. But get one that you can install FreeMCboot on (like anything below SPCH-9000xs or VERY EARLY 9000xs so if your swap/mod burns out you can still do stuff with your PS2. Also, If you wanna run homebrew on it (like emus) a good brnad USB stick is a must. Sandisk 2gib works fine for me. However, NO KINGSTONS WILL WORK. okay, bai.
