I'm not new to the world of backups, nor am I new to the world of computers but I've never owned a PS2 and know nothing about how to play backups on it (other than it requires a modchip). Can anyone who is knowledgeable in the subject explain the current situation to me? Is there anything that will work with the current revision of the (PAL) PS2 being sold in the UK? Thanks in advance
Um.... I have the last revision of the ps2-the slim (90002) and it's been chipped. I unfortunatly forgot the chip used since I got a modder to do it-but it's running the matrix software bios (alternitive bios to the original). It basically frees the system from region blocking (even dvd movies and ps1 games can be multi region) and allows backups to run. I think it's...modbo or something... www.acegaming.com This site has my chip-look up the model type of yours and see. Keep in mind-this is australian-might not be best since your in the UK ;D Just for info.
Oops. The link you gave is not quite right I fear. But thanks for the info. Anyone with any more advice?
I think mds meant to write http://www.acegamestore.com/ Also, mds? Is the Modbo thing you have this http://www.acegamestore.com/products/ps2-modchip-modbo-4-0-905 or http://www.acegamestore.com/products/ps2-modchip-modbo-750-594 ?
It's one of the 2. http://www.acegamestore.com/products/ps2-modchip-modbo-750-594 That must be mine-9000X. The other one is for the older ps2 models. And...thanks for spelling the site right XD
