anyone have any recommendations for a ps2 mod chip as well as a retailer [online more likely] that sells mod chips?

a used ps2 is modestly priced now and i can start modding them. i've been search around google and it seems that the modbo 4 is the typical chip to go for but i like to see what are my other options. please post your comments and opinions on what you have and recommendations and places you know that they sell them.

    thanks in advance!

I use the memor32 with memento firmware (seems that its no longer updated, but there are alternative firmwares that are more compatible, I just haven't got around to trying them yet).

what is your compatability percentage, 90%, 80%,....?

50% but I've only tried 2 games so that's not really an accurate assessment Dark Cloud (the reason I got the card in the first place) works, but Final Fantasy Dirge of Cerberus does not. It also appears that the memento firmware does not bypass region locks. I need to get around to trying out the other firmwares though.

My buddy bought a Matrix chip and that one bypasses region lock 100%
