Here are some info of the latest version of PCSX2. Source : http://pcsx2.net/ Its been a while since the 0.9.6 version has been released, and finally they have announced the 0.9.7. Hope this one able to play most PS2 games with minor problem, but the interesting part of this new version is, the new features of GUI, as well an introduction of the new functions, and easy navigation. It will be available for download soon(maybe), always check the download section of the main site. -> http://pcsx2.net/downloads.php
Actually no, I have low specs and I know people who can play IV and have problems, but its actually the emulators new settings that make it faster seriously my Video NVIDIA GeForce Go5650, Intel Pentium M Processor 2.00 GHz and 2.0GB RAM, but I got to thank my Father he gave me this laptop as gift.
Dude are you saying your laptop have those hardware specs and can play that emulator smoothly and not heat up your laptop? My laptop was heating up like crazy when I played with the previous version.I've got an intel celeron processor with 2.20 GHz and 3 GB of Ram.Will my laptop play that new beta with no issues whatsoever?
I tried to use the last version of the emulator. It didn't work. Processor - Pentium 4 - 2.66 Ghz RAM - 1GB Graphics Card - Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller Apparently the graphics card wasn't able to support pixel blending, or mixing or something like that, and it wouldn't run anything. @.@
I'll check it out when they release it. I'll use my PS2's bios, SCPH_77006 (slim 2005's console) My PC can handle it good. VGA: Nvidia Geforce GTX260 Super Clocked with 216 processors. Processment: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHZ HD: 320 GB RAM: 3GB ATA DDR2 V SOURCE: Satellite SL8600EPS 600 real watts. O.S. Windows 7 Ultimate (thank you Captain Jack Sparrow). I guess that this system can run it good.
I'll probably bite the bullet and go for something 64 bits with 6 or more Gb of RAM. Only that way we were able to have GameCube emulators that doesn't stuck on 15 FPs or worse.
