Hey guys, Im trying to emulate the PS2 emulator on my computer PCSX2 0.9.7 and after I open up the main file I get an error message. It says " The GS Plugin failed to initiate/open " and it tells me to check the log file. This is what I have :

    Any clues? Thanks guys

Check your Gsdx plugins(Video settings), see whether it was configured to the right plugin.
For example, if your PC support SSE2, set it to Gsdx SSE2.

Have you upgraded your direct x, C++, as well you graphic driver to the latest version?

and.... if you haven't noticed, your log text is for 0.9.6, not 0.9.7.

Have you tried "Run as administrator" ?
The emulator usually gave that kind of error when it's running on Vista or 7, using the run as admin feature usually fix it.

Are you using 0.9.6 or 0.9.7?
The date on yours is over a year and half old, the version I got is only a few weeks old.
    Try: http://pcsx2.net/downloads.php?p=publicbeta
Going by your username, you will be pleased to hear it runs DQ8 perfectly ;)

That problem is related to outdated graphic card driver, missing some required files or the plugins wasn't configure correctly.
I don't see why it can cause such problem, but if it does, its not hurt to try it either.

    I suppose so.
But that kind of error does happen to me pretty often, and the run as admin feature fix it, so I'm just suggesting a possibility.

It's that at every other game it gives other errors, so what i did was look on youtube and then i looked at this movie of a girl, explaining all her setings, plugins and stuff, with dl links, when i played it it still gave the error, i just waited 5 mins, and then i suddenly could play it, i dunno how but now if i start up i have to wait 5 mins, try it again and it worked XD
