I burned Spyro 3 for my PsOne. I burned the .CUE file onto a 700MB CD-ROM, the disc speed no higher than 16x. Then I put in into my PsOne, it starts to load all the company names, but when it gets to the Insomniac Games logo it won't go any further. I wasn't quite sure it would work because it only took a couple of seconds to burn and when I explored the files on UltraIso, it said that 88% of the files were there.

Do you think maybe I just did something wrong or the ROM is just plain crap ?

    Any suggestions?

P.S. Don't post things like "Your PsOne isn't chipped" because it is.

the fact that it only took a couple of seconds to burn sounds suspect... You could test it in a PSX emulator, then if it works (it did when I tested it before uploading) burn it at 4x or slower. Also what burning program did you use?

The burning program I used was Alcohol 120% because thats the only software I have on my PC which burns .cue files.

Thanx for the help mate ;)

    Spyro 3 has special encryption.

You'll have to have the right modchip/bootdisk, that supports special codes to get past them.

Learn more about it here: http://megagames.com/psx/psx_protected_games.shtml

You can use "protection codes" to get past them, but if your modchip doesn't support them, you'll have to patch the game.

    Spyro 3 patch:

    http://megagames.com/psx/psx_patches_s_3.shtml

Just patch the game, and it should work fine!
