Truthfully I don't know much about flash cards, I know that there's a compatability difference between them so I knew that the first thing someone who knows about the cards would ask was which card it was.

But neither loony nor myself have a flash card so we can't experiment much with it.

However, do tell which game you're having a problem with, (all maybe?) that way I can do a little research.

Haha its a 1gb kingston micro SD card. I tried downloading Nintendogs and Cars and they both had the same effect. They both just do the whole they just do the loading thing and when they reach 100% it just freezes so :S I dunnos, its bugging me :( and I still can only save on a few GBA games.

    Could you try

    Cars (U)(Legacy)

it has been confirmed working on the M3 on their wiki.

You may try reformatting your MicroSD card at FAT16 and making sure you've got the latest firmware revision :)

Where do i get the firmware? from the Kingston website?

I'd think that would be the M4 website, the firmware is what enables the card to trick the NDS to believe the cart is a real cart.

i'm using the one that has the passcard and the adapter :( I tried the new .32 version of it didnt work, and neither did cars :( Though it actually went past the loading to a blank screen so its a step in the right direction i guess :/

Awww, a slot 2? I'm not very well-versed on those, but I hear their compatibility is a mite bit lower than Slot 1... I recommend you ask around at the M3 forums, they might be able to help.

Hope you have solved your problem. If not, the solution for your problem is that you need to patch your NDS with the right setting. See this. To play NDS roms via slot 2, they require patching. As for upgrading to the lastest firmware and Game Manger, it is mainly to fix patching problems with newer roms which is quite seldom.

That might not be a good idea although it can be tried. For M3 adapter, you should always format the SD card in FAT32. As for Supercard, you should always format the SD card in FAT16. This cannot be interchangeable. Doing otherwise would might lead to problems such as your game saves. Someone on the internet stated that using FAT32 gives better graphics for games -> whether it is true or not I don't know. However, changing formats have been know to give problems. You could always try and if works fine, you are lucky. Personally, I go for long term using something that in works in the long run for most things.

Get Nintendogs Best Friends that would sure to work. Many, many months ago when I first get get M3 slot 2 adapter, different Nintendogs work but there was the save detection problem for all the games. When I formatted to FAT32 none of the Nintendogs work except Nintendogs Best Friends. Not sure if the problem was fixed subsequently. However, from then till now, using FAT32 and applying the right patching, I haven't got any problems for majority of the games.

That's not really true. In fact, M3 slot 2 adapter roms have been tested with settings to make them work per wiki compared to slot 1 so you have a higher chance of making them work. This is because slot 2 adapter has been around longer than slot 1. However, given time, slot 1 will end up being better than slot 2 as it will more games support download play and 2 player connection. For slot 2, if you want to have 2 player connection / download play, 1 party has to have the original catridge or a flashed NDS. Long story but it's due to rom patching to play in slot 2 that doesn't happen for slot 1.

If you still have any other problems using M3 slot 2 adapter, I could try to help. I may not be an expert on it but I have done a lot of reading on this and have gone through the experience of finding out how to use the different functions available ranging from game roms, homebrew, pda function, photos, videos. music & e-book.

Extremely unlikely, I would say. The only difference I can see is that FAT16 has a much lower maximum disk capacity than FAT32, so you cannot have a disk bigger than 4GB formatted with FAT16. In addition, it is less efficient at storing files on larger disks and wastes a lot of space. There is also a limit to how many files you can have in the root directory (512 when using 8.3 filenames, less when using long filenames). There is no reason why filesystem would affect graphics.
