I have finally remembered how i am suposed to install one touch video capture on windows 7, the issue is where the folder is, i had faced this sissue before but i dont know how i fixed it. Currently i have 3 videos i have filmed (nothing big thank heavens, but my hard drive cant afford rigth now to have big files since i am getting a BIG torrent about 20 gigabytes) so i want to get this sorted out, trying to move any of the files to desktop gives me a message that the file cannot be found..., the files are in C:/program files/one touch video capture/my video files, here is the problem the route is seemingly inexistent, since the are no folders on one touch video capture, i have folder settings so it also shows hidden folders, the icing on the cake is that the program is able to acess the folder, the folder has a small lock so i dont know what it means.
well for a start windows 7 doesnt allow arbitrary writes into the program files directory, and second the lock means you arent allowed to access the folder, presumably its not owned by your user account.
odd, since I AM the owner of the machine, and the account is admin account and mine too, plus i want to erase the folder so it wont have the files there, rather i would like for the program to store them on my documents, those vids arent important, a couple of mins test.
Just a tip you could try. 1.Locate the folder that has the files that you want. It will have the lock on the folder. 2.Left click on folder and click the properties option. 3.Go to the "Security" tab and select the "Advanced" tab at the bottom right. 4.Select "Owner" tab then change the owner to your User Account ; NOT the Administrators Account. by clicking the "Edit" tab at the bottom and tick the box where it says "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects. 5.Go back to "Security" and "Advanced" and tick in "Include inheritable permissions from object 's parent" and press apply . Hope this helps.
I wouldn't advise doing this. 'administrators' is a group, not a user account. Any user account that is a member of this group has the access permissions granted to the group. Changing the ownership of system folders is asking for trouble.
Eh i found a way, ironically it was the easiest path, simply click on deletle the files, those will be transfered to the recycle bin, from there all you do is move them to the desktop, and to prevent the issue i moved were i want the pics and vids it's on my documents folder so problem solved
