Problem with a patch./problem with VBA advance mac os x version

the problem is that i download the J rom of fire emblem the sacred stones then i use the fire emblem girls patch to well patch it, but it wont run nor in no$gba 2.6a (obtained from this very site) or VBA mac, what do i do, also any one is willing to patch the rom for me?.

the other subject of this topic is that im unable to use codes on the macintosh version of visual voy advance,f or the curios people im running macintosh 10.4 in my system and in theory the codes should work on 10.4-10.5 and 10.6 macintosh versions
