Anything on adapters will lose performance but it shouldn't be noticeable on class 6 or above cards. Speed class matter because it says how fast the card can be read and wrote on, the higher the class/speed the faster games (videos, photos, music etc) will load and save. In my experience ProDuos and class 6 or above MicroSDs have little to none performance difference, haven't used any benchmarking tools just used them (similar hardware devices who use either card). I just find the ProDuos more reliable, i backup and format my 8gb Pro Duo just to be safe when my 8gb class 6 MicroSD gets corrupted (to be fair i give much more work to the MicroSD).
I use class 2 micro sd cards and they work just fine. I have seen no real speed difference between a pro duo and my adapters.
I'm using a Dual MicroSD adapter with class 2 16GB and 4GB microSD cards, I haven't seen any problems
Gameplay won't have much -if any- difference- because it's load into the PSP, if you don't mind a few extra seconds of loading time (the lower the microSD class the higher the loading times will be) you'll be ok with microSD + adapter. On UMDs i've seen games take 30+ seconds to load, on lower class microSDs i've seen, at best, half on that (15 seconds) and i've seen almost as much (20, 25 seconds) on the Pro Duos i've seen games go into loading and immediately after continue (higher class microSDs on the same games took just a little longer). Unlike UMDs, with cards i've never seen hangs during gameplay or cutscenes.
thank you all for your input sincerely, however i finally bought a pro duo because it came out cheaper than doing the whole adapter bit!
really? I got a dual adapter and a 16GB microSD for 25 usd from amazon.com, aren't pro duo's more expensive?
