Most console games tend to fall within $45-$60. that's the bare minimum Market retail Price. The prices themselves vary from game to game and no console has cheaper games than the other.

Also, remember that you get what you pay for, especially on the Wii. There's a reason that game is only $19.99 MSRP...

Cheaper isn't always a good thing.

Beyond all that it all boils down to "New Release" and "It's Been out for a year" as well. Your new releases regardless of game quality is going to run for about 50 bucks give or take. Thats the basics, no matter what home console you have. There is far more to consider than game price. If you just want cheap games... :/ buy an Iphone/Ipodtouch/ipad... whole slew of 99cent games there.

If your looking for a real game at a bargain though, you want to shop at places like game exchange, 3rd party stores that deal in used games and consoles. The selection may not be as good as some of the big name stores, sometimes though you can find a better selection due to them keeping a stock of older titles that tend to drop off shelves after a while. And as far as that goes it then comes down to preference. o.o PS3, Xbox360, Wii.

PS3 - Good selection of games and exclusives, big name titles appear on this console as well as others[MW3 ect]. Free online play.

Xbox360 - Usually considered the more popular system stateside. Has some ok exclusives. Monthly subscription for full online features. Higher Concentration of FPS gamers tend to use this system from my experiences.

Wii - Motion Control centric, backwards compatible with the Game Cube. Free Online Play. Most games are exclusives to this console. Lots of variety, family oriented. Remember the wrist strap, beware of flying controllers.

As things go, for solely bargain pricing the Wii is the way to go, as if you find a used game store, the Wii has plenty of titles and with a handful of Game Cube controllers and memory cards its 2 systems in one. Only the first gen and second gen PS3 have ps2 compatibility, and while the Xbox 360 sports some backwards compatibility its not complete and a lot of games are left out.

For me though, I use the PS3, most comfortable controller to me. Free online. Good selection of games.

New releases are always around the $50-$60. Now tell me, what would you rather have?
A $50 game that fits on a single layer DVD, or a game that takes up a dual layer Blu-ray?
The amount of data doesn't determine quality, but it highly correlates to quality.

There are always exceptions, but this is a general rule. Mainly, any first-party Wii game is the exception to this rule.

OK....that clears my doubt. Now I would like to know the level of 'piracy' on each console. Which can be cracked and played with fake ISO, ROMS or fake CDs on the market.

Gameboy Advance (if you can find them) and Nintendo DS.

You could also buy old consoles like the N64 or psx and go to jumble sales.

Both the Wii and PS3 can be hacked easily through software, provided that you have a unit that can be hacked. Red unit Wiis and probably any Wii released after the collector's edition won't be able to play backed up DVD-Rs or DVD+R DLs, but can still play games through an external HDD.

PS3s, provided that you are on a low firmware (3.55 or earlier) can be hacked and it can play games off of the internal or external HDDs. I actually just bought a 1 TB external because my 500 GB one was completely full, and my 500 GB internal is near full with games and redundant game data installs...

(I have an old 3.41 JB guide on here, please DO NOT follow that one...it's too old to be of any use)

The 360 is the only one that you actually need to take the unit apart to begin flashing it. It is also the one with the least-clear instructions on how to do anything. If Microsoft is behind this by removing any and all content that is clearly written out, then they've done their job well.

You'll also need a decent DVD burner for 360 games, one that is able to burn dual layer DVDs. I have an old one that only burns single layer.
